Hide and Seek was my first foray into filmmaking after three years of trying to pursue a career solely in front of the camera. Realizing the lack of opportunity for unknowns such as myself, I decided the best route toward eventual steady work in the field would be through creating my own content.
I met my wonderful friend Salvatore Frederick while we lived in an artist co-op over the summer of 2018, and in January 2019 we began production on our film Hide and Seek in the backwoods of Edinboro, PA, utilizing his film school resources. We shot for 4 days in freezing temperatures with some of us running too cold (me, the California boy, who had packed inadequately for a real winter) and some of us running too hot (Sal’s friend Brett, aka our Bigfoot, sweltering underneath the mass of fur, vinyl and padding in his costume).
I loved every moment. I hope to make as many films as I possibly can.
